Professional Certificate in Structured Teaching Intervention for Dyslexia and Literacy:
*you will be required to find and work with a student/learner in the age range in which you have trained for Module C, full details can be found in the syllabus brochure above.

After completion of Modules A, B & C you can move on to study Modules D and E which will enable you to become a fully qualified Assessor and gives you eligibility to apply for an Assessment Practising Certificate. for full details regarding progression see programme brochure above.
You can only refer to yourself as a specialist teacher if you already hold a teaching qualification.
The Dyslexia Action Professional programme is a competency-assessed course at Level 7, Master’s level, which requires tutor assessment of the candidate undertaking teaching and assessment. This means that other academic programmes that have not included competency assessment or are at a lower level (e.g. Level 5 or Level 6) may not qualify for accreditation of prior learning (APL). We may however be able to offer some recognition of attainment.

The Dyslexia Action Professional Certificate in Structured Teaching Intervention for Dyslexia and Literacy is eligible for Associate Membership (ADG) of The Dyslexia Guild and is also accredited by the British Dyslexia Association (BDA) for specialist teachers/practitioners (ATS/APS) and PATOSS for Associate membership.
